MEDDPICC Deal Scorecard — Excel tool with auto deal-health scoring
I spent 15+ years running enterprise deals and sales teams, most recently as a senior director at Samsung. Here's the pattern that burned me the most:The deal feels great. Fired-up champion. Urgent, quantified pain. Everyone's excited. It goes in the committed forecast. Then it slips. And when you do the autopsy, it's always the same two gaps: nobody ever met the economic buyer, and nobody mapped what happens between "verbal yes" and signature.Gut feel can't catch that. A scorecard can. This is the exact Excel tool I use to score deals against MEDDPICC. Not a blank template with eight labels on it, but a working tool: Score each of the 8 elements 0 to 3 from a dropdown, against a strict evidence-based rubric. If you can't point to a customer conversation or document, it's a 0 or 1. No vibes. Auto red/amber/green formatting on every score and the total, so the blind spots are impossible to ignore. Auto deal-health banding (Strong / Real-but-at-risk / Early) with a zero-override rule: any single 0 flags the whole deal AT RISK no matter how good the total looks. That one rule is worth the price. It's the difference between "14/24, looks decent" and "you've never met the person who signs the check." Evidence and next-action columns so every score forces a "prove it" and a "so what do I do Monday." A fully worked example deal showing the classic trap: great champion, real pain, total blind spot on economic buyer and paper process. A how-to tab with the scoring rubric, the health bands, and how to run this in pipeline reviews. Who it's for: AEs who want their commit to actually close, and sales leaders who are tired of pipeline reviews built on adjectives. If you run reviews, the coaching question is built in: "why is this a 2 and not a 3?"What it's not: a course, a 40-page PDF, or MEDDPICC theory. It assumes you know what MEDDPICC is and gives you the instrument to run it.Works in Excel and Google Sheets (upload the .xlsx and the formulas, dropdowns, and formatting carry over).Questions before buying? Message me. I answer.FAQIs this just a template? No. Live formulas, dropdown scoring, conditional formatting, health-band logic, a worked example deal, and a rubric. Open it and score a deal in 10 minutes.Does it work in Google Sheets? Yes. Upload the .xlsx and everything carries over.Do you offer refunds? Yes, 7 days, no questions. If it doesn't change how you look at your pipeline, I don't want your money. Can I share it with my team? One license per person. Team of 5+? Message me for a team price.
