ACD beta - an acid synth VST3 and AU
ACD is a minimal acid synth, reduced to 8 parameters in order to be easily tweakable and usable with any MIDI controller out there. It was created to have an acid synth that is not a 303 without tons of features, but all the ingredients you actually need with parameters that are fun to tweak. NOTE: ACD is currently in beta, parameters and features might change. System Requirements:macOS 11 or later Apple Silicon or Intel (universal binary) A DAW that loads AU or VST3 (Logic, Live, Cubase, Reaper, Bitwig, etc.) Controls Wave — one continuous sweep through the oscillator: sawtooth, squaring off into a hollow pulse, an octave-down sub swelling underneath, then a rising metallic hard-sync tone, and finally a gritty 4-bit digital degrade at the top. Cutoff — 20 Hz to 18 kHz. Reso — squelch through to full self-oscillation at the top of the travel. Model — the filter itself morphs: 303 diode ladder, 101 OTA ladder, Pro-1 CEM3320, MS-20 Sallen-Key and RozzBox. Decay — 50 ms blip to a 3-second tail. Env — how far the envelope opens the filter, up to six octaves. Accent — how hard notes above velocity 100 hit. Accented notes get louder, shorter, brighter and more resonant at once. Scream — the distortion macro moving through the signal path as you turn it: filter FM first, then overdrive into the filter, then hard clipping after it, then a biased tube stage with power-supply sag that ducks under loud notes.
