หรือมอบบางอย่างให้จากภายนอก เหมือนเราเป็นผู้รอรับ และพลังเป็นสิ่งที่ถูกให้มา แต่การทำงานของภาพในแนวทางนี้ไม่ใช่แบบนั้น เทพ พลัง หรือสัญลักษณ์ต่าง ๆ ไม่ได้ทำหน้าที่เป็นผู้ให้พร และไม่ได้เข้ามาเปลี่ยนชีวิตเราแทน แต่ทำหน้าที่เป็นภาพแทนหรือ กระจกสะท้อนของบางส่วนในจิตใจเราเอง Symbolism, Imagery, พิธีกรรม, ความเชื่อ, ความฝัน และศิลปะ จึงไม่ได้ส่งพลังเข้ามาจากภายนอก แต่ทำหน้าที่ กระตุ้น รวบรวม และจัดระเบียบพลังงานทางจิต (Psychic Energy)ที่มีอยู่แล้วในตัวเรา เพื่อดึงเอาพลังที่ซ่อนอยู่ภายใน (Inner Power) หรือส่วนที่ถูกกดทับ มองไม่เห็น หรือไม่กล้าใช้ (Shadow) ให้สามารถปรากฏขึ้นมารับรู้ได้ เมื่อจิตไร้สำนึกรับรู้ภาพนั้น Archetype ภายในที่สอดคล้องจะถูกปลุกให้ตื่น และเมื่อ Archetype ถูก Activate การรับรู้ การตัดสินใจ และพฤติกรรมภายนอกจะค่อย ๆ เปลี่ยน
